We are actively seeking a proficient Web Developer to join a dynamic team at a thriving, fast-paced marketing agency in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

In the role of Web Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining web applications. Working closely with a skilled team, your contributions will be instrumental in delivering industry leading, user-friendly websites and applications that align seamlessly with business objectives. The Web Developer will be passionate about web development, will stay abreast of industry trends, and be committed to consistently achieving outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to comprehend and gather project requirements.
  • Develop new applications, using WordPress, PHP, and MySQL.
  • Create, develop, and maintain responsive and user-friendly websites, portals, and web-based applications and integration.
  • Craft clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

Essential skills for the Web Developer:

  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and other relevant web technologies
  • Experience with ACF, Custom Post Types, and page templates
  • Knowledge of back-end technologies and databases, such as MySQL
  • Ability to query SQL
  • Good knowledge of version control systems suc as GIT
  • Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels
  • Good attention to detail

Desirable skills:

  • BSc in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field
  • Knowledge of SEO
  • Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS and Azure
  • Understanding of web security
