Chase Recruitment are working in partnership with a large, 'OFSTED' outstanding residential care home for young people to recruit a Service Manager of Learning Disability Services - Responsible Individual.

They provide stability and support to children who have lost belief and are unable to settle into family life.

This is a brand new senior role where the direct reports are based in Staffordshire and Shropshire.

This is a role where you can make your mark and start a fresh - it's an exciting time of growth for our client, and you will play an integral role in it!

It is essential that applicants have had a minimum of 2 years experience as a Registered Manager, have significant experience in the childcare sector and, most importantly have exposure of working with children with Learning Difficulties.

The job duties include, but are not limited to:-

  • Promotion of the companies ethos, philosophy and values - while driving excellence and promoting innovative practice.
  • Overall management of all resources via the delegation and guidance of Home Managers
  • To act as the designated officer for Safeguarding matters, liaising with social services departments including LADO where required
  • To act as Compliant Officer
  • To represent the organisation at OFSTED level
  • Chair regular Care manager meetings
  • Support the Registered managers during staff appraisals
  • Overall responsibility for managing staff welfare, staff absence etc
