Senior Residential Care Worker Children's home- Manchester

Senior Residential Care Worker, £11 per hour plus overnight stays - South East Manchester

Chase Recruitment are working with an established young people's care provider to recruit a Senior Residential Care Worker to join their team in Southeast Manchester. The Senior Care Worker will be working alongside EBD children to support and fulfil their needs. The role does require overnight stays and potential to step up as Deputy Manager.

The responsibilities of the Senior Residential Care Worker are:

  • Ensuring the day-to-day running of the home is safe and fulfilling for the young people.
  • Ensuring the Residential Care Workers are all aware of the expectations on them on behalf of the Registered Manager.
  • Ensuring that the needs of the young people are always met.
  • Ensuring that the children and young people are in safe and comfortable environment.
  • As Senior, they will deliver services which are fully compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements particularly The Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015.
  • They will assist in leading the staff team, managing the RCW's ensuring that everyone works effectively with children, young people, families and all internal and partner agency staff.
  • The Senior will carry out their statutory duties as determined, principally in relevant childcare legislation, children's homes regulations and standards.

In return, our client will offer:

  • Flexible shift patterns- 2 on, 3 off
  • £11 per hour, plus £50 per sleep
  • Opportunity to progress
  • 28 days annual leave

The ideal Senior Care Worker must:

  • Have at least 1 years' experience
  • Hold or working towards Level 3 in Children's Residential Care
  • Hold a Full UK Driving License with access to vehicle
