Registered OFSTED Manager - Excellent basic salary starting from £50k - Stoke-On-Trent

Chase Recruitment are working in partnership on the recruitment of a Registered OFSTED Manager for a Children home based in Stoke-On-Trent.

Our client is offering an industry leading minimum basic salary of £50,000 per annum.

Successful applicants must have previous experience of managing a successful OFSTED registered children homes with either a good or outstanding rating.

This is a new role working with children and young adults up to the age of 18, with most requiring support with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and psychological support from early life trauma.

Duties include:-

  • Overseeing OFSTED visits and audits
  • Establishing and maintaining good quality practice in Residential care and education
  • Ensure the positive development of young people in their care
  • Through the use of the community, supporting the social and learning aspects of young people
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the team
  • Managing staff welfare, staff absence etc
  • Budget management, including home budgeting estimates
  • Managing Pathways, Risk Assessments, Care Plans, and Health & Safety Checks

Successful applicants will have:-

  • Ideally a level 5 or equivalent qualification in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People) or a willingness to complete with in two years of employment
  • Must hold a level 3 diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years experience working as a Registered Manager with children
  • A strong knowledge of care standards including child protection issues and working with EBD children
  • A can-do, approachable manner
