OFSTED Registered Manager - Settled, established home - Southport, Merseyside

Chase Recruitment are working in partnership on the recruitment of a Registered Manager for a Children home based in Southport, Merseyside.

This large EBD home is a settled environment with a full staff team and experienced deputy managers in place - a great opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager.

Successful applicants must have previous experience of managing a successful OFSTED registered children home with either a good or outstanding rating.

This role is working with children and young adults up to the age of 17, with most requiring support with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and psychological support from early life trauma.

Duties include:-

  • Overseeing OFSTED visits and audits
  • Establishing and maintaining good quality practice in Residential care and education
  • Ensure the positive development of young people in their care
  • Through the use of the community, supporting the social and learning aspects of young people
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the team
  • Managing staff welfare, staff absence etc

Successful applicants will have:-

  • Ideally a level 5 or equivalent qualification in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People) or a willingness to complete with in two years of employment
  • Must hold a level 3 diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years experience working as a Registered Manager with children
  • A strong knowledge of care standards including child protection issues and working with EBD children
