Registered OFSTED Manager - Up to £45k basic, great perks and loads of support - Burton-On-Trent

Chase Recruitment are working in partnership on the recruitment of a Registered OFSTED Manager for a Children home based in Burton.

Our client provides their young residents with a safe, secure, consistent and homely environment with the highest level of care given at all times. They ensure that the home has a natural family feel in order to make the children and young people feel comfortable. The children are the heart of the home and they centred their approach on this. Every individual child's needs are approached holistically and they ensure that they receive the best level of nurturing and care.

Successful applicants must have previous experience of managing a successful OFSTED registered children home with either a good or outstanding rating.

Our client is looking for a Registered Manager who is ambitious and hard working and wants to make a positive impact on the lives of young people.

Duties include:-

  • Establishing and maintaining good quality practice in residential care and education
  • Ensure the positive development of young people in their care
  • Through the use of the community, supporting the social and learning aspects of young people
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the team
  • Managing staff welfare, staff absence etc
  • Budget management, including home budgeting estimates
  • Managing Pathways, Risk Assessments, Care Plans, and Health & Safety Checks

Successful applicants will have:-

  • A level 5 or equivalent qualification in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People) or willing to work towards this
  • A minimum of 3 years experience working as a Registered Manager with children
  • A strong knowledge of care standards including child protection issues and working with EBD children
  • A can-do, approachable manner
