Registered Manager - Up to £40,000 - Birmingham

Chase Recruitment is excited to be working with a new residential home for children ages 8-17 with learning difficulties, autism, and complex care needs.

We are currently looking for someone who is already an Ofsted Registered Manager or a Deputy Manager looking for the next step in their career.

For this role, you must be an experienced individual with a proven track record of providing the highest quality care for young people, as well as providing the staff with a high level of support in the Birmingham area.

Key duties as a Registered Manager would include:

  • Managing and working with young people with EBD and a passion to safeguard and promote the needs of young people with complex and challenging behaviour.
  • Following the current regulations related to Residential Childcare and applying these to the day-to-day running of the home.
  • Support and directly line manage the team with delegated responsibility to the Home's senior management team.
  • Ensure the service performs within budget and at a level to achieve the highest Ofsted inspection rating, supporting a programme of continuous business improvement. Be able to demonstrate auditing, managing budgets and monitoring skills

The ideal Registered Manager will have:

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience working with young people in Residential Care and at least 1 years of experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in Children homes
  • Previous experience in a role requiring supervision and management of care staff.
  • A good working knowledge of the Social Care common inspection framework as well as other policies and procedures prevalent in a Children's home.
  • Can evidence experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
  • A clean DBS.
