If so, we have an exciting new opportunity in care available for a Senior Support Worker!
We are looking for a care worker to join a specialised unit focused on residential support for individuals with mental health and learning difficulties including Autism, Personality Disorders and Schizophrenia.
Our client is committed to providing you with all the support you would need as a care worker with Continuous Personal Development, paid training up to a Level 5 and all mandatory training too.
As a Senior Support Worker, your role will include:
- Providing care for a small group of inpatients, supporting them towards independent living.
- Ability to work effectively and independently.
- Work with the management and other team members to provide the best levels of care available.
- Willing to be flexible in caring styles.
- Access to a company car to escort in-patients on day-trips.
The ideal Senior Support Worker will have:
- Experience with medication handling and dual diagnosis is preferred.
- Previous experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, mental health, autism and complex behavioural needs.
- A level 3 in Health and Social is preferred but willing to accept an applicant at Level 2 providing you are willing to train up.
- A caring and compassionate nature with a desire to help and a can-do attitude
