Deputy Manager for New Children Home - £32k to £38k and clear path to Registered Manager - Coventry

Chase Recruitment are working in partnership on the recruitment of a Deputy Manager for a brand new Children home based in Coventry. Our client is keen to bring in a talented, experienced leader looking to progress to a Registered Manager in the very near future.

Our client provides children and young people from 12-17 years of age with a safe and nurturing home where they can work toward reaching their full potential. Their primary objective is to provide high quality care in a warm, welcoming and nurturing environment that meets the needs of individual children and young people.

The role is for a Deputy Manager of a new 4 bed EBD children's home based in Coventry.

Duties include, but are not limited to:-

  • Supporting OFSTED visits and audits
  • Building and maintaining good quality practice in Residential care and education
  • Ensure the positive development of young people in their care
  • Through the use of the community, supporting the social and learning aspects of young people
  • Leading and guiding a team
  • Managing staff welfare, staff absence etc
  • Budget management, including home budgeting estimates
  • Risk Assessments, Care Plans, and Health & Safety Checks

Successful applicants will have:-

  • Studying to or have a level 5 or equivalent qualification in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People)
  • Experience working as a Team leader/Leader RCW/manager with in a children's home
  • Have OFSTED experience
  • A good knowledge of care standards including child protection issues and working with EBD children
  • A can-do, approachable manner
  • Career driven with a passion for getting the best out of children
