Deputy Manager for Leek, Staffordshire based Children Home - Circa £36k, superb benefits package and supportive and caring employer

Chase Recruitment are working in partnership with an established residential care home for children with the recruitment of a Deputy Manager. The children residential home is based in Leek, Staffordshire

The children home accommodates young people with social, emotional and mental health needs.

Our client are looking to recruit a Deputy Manager who has experience working for an OFSTED 'Good' or 'Outstanding' children home.

The job duties include:-

  • Ensuring good quality practice in Residential care and education
  • Supporting with the positive development of young people in care
  • Working closely with the community, supporting the social and learning aspects of young people
  • Supporting the RM with leadership and guidance to the team
  • Managing staff welfare, staff absence etc
  • Ensuring the home is Health and Safety compliant

You need to be enthusiastic, resilient and good with people. You must also have an ability to inspire, develop and support team members. This is a provider with 4 homes in and around the local area and still very much retains a family feel.
