Chase Recruitment are working with a care home based in Wembley who are looking to recruit a talented and career focused Care Support Worker, for a permanent role.

You will encourage learning and help develop existing life skills with a focus on building confidence, independence and all aspects of self-care.

The young people and adults you will support may have learning disabilities, which may be non-verbal or they may have profound and multiple difficulties.

The most successful Care Support Workers are open and clear communicators with a positive outlook on life. They will be resilient, emotionally strong and altruistic in nature.

They have an ability to engage and inspire young people and will often be creative individuals themselves. They don't get offended easily and encourage and celebrate through recognition and praise.

The main duties involved in this position are:

  • Supporting with personal care needs
  • Providing a happy and positive environment at all times
  • To offer appropriate physical, emotional and psychological support i
  • Devising and engaging children in fun activities
  • Instilling belief through encouragement and praise
  • Maintain records to a high professional standard
  • Chaperone, appointments and activities such as shopping or day trips out

Chase Recruitment would like to hear from people who:-

  • Previous experience of working with vulnerable young people, adults with learning disability or mental health disorder in a residential or a community/day care setting or related field is desirable however training will be provided.
  • Are looking for a full-time career in care
  • Hold a valid driving licence
  • Holding an NVQ Level 2/3 qualification
  • Have an ability to be an active, enthusiastic, team player and the ability to work on own initiative
  • Have experience working in community services such as youth work, police force, schools etc
