CHILDREN'S SENIOR SOCIAL WORKER - £35,745 - £38,890 - Sheffield

Chase Recruitment have an exciting new opportunity available for a Children's Senior Social Worker, in the Sheffield area, with a highly challenging career to help the most vulnerable amongst us, supporting children and young people to feel safe and to reach their full potential.

As a Children's Senior Social Worker, your role would include:

  • Managing diverse and complex cases and ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and young people in your area.
  • Demonstrating exemplary working standards and supervising social care students. To effectively supervise and mentor others, Senior Social Workers are able to complete mentoring and Practice Educator Training.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently.
  • Work with the management and other team members to provide the best levels of care and conduct available in line with social worker regulatory standards and the Council's Code of Conduct.
  • To undertake all duties and responsibilities in line with current Council Policies and Procedures, including those relating to health and safety; equalities, diversity and inclusion; safeguarding procedures; financial instructions; procurement and commissioning.

The ideal Children's Senior Social Worker will have:

  • A degree in Social Work
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • A live DBS available (we can run one for you if you don't already hold one).
  • Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in Social Care.
  • Experience with Child Protection Act, Section 47.
  • A caring and compassionate nature with a desire to help and a can-do attitude
