Chase Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an experienced materials Buyer to join an established global company responsible for designing and manufacturing industry benchmark products.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based in Hebden Bridge, where you'll work with the production support team to ensure sustainable supply chains are available to allow achievement of targets.
Key Responsibilities
- To work with the supplier base to ensure quality, price and delivery of materials
- Negotiate with key suppliers over terms, deliveries, stocks etc
- Research new potential suppliers to meet the company requirements
- To use MRP reports to place and manage orders
- Communicate across departments for efficient production flow
The Ideal Candidate
- 2 years experience in a buying/procurement role, preferable in a technical or manufacturing sector
- Have an understanding of purchasing with experience of MRP and supply chains
- Be educated to degree level - (CIPS qualification would be desirable)
- Be a decision maker, able to work autonomously to manage time and task
- Have confident communication skills.
