Chase Recruitment are working in partnership on the recruitment of a Registered Manager for a 3 bedded Children home based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
Successful applicants must have previous experience as a Registered Manager of a successful OFSTED registered children homes with either a good or outstanding rating.
This is a role working with children and young adults up to the age of 16, with most requiring support with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Difficulties.
Duties include:-
- Ensuring home environment is of the highest standard
- Ensuring the positive development of young people in their care
- Through the use of the community, supporting the social and learning aspects of young people
- Providing leadership and guidance to the team at all times
- Managing staff welfare, staff absence etc
- Budget management, including home budgeting estimates
- Managing Pathways, Risk Assessments, Care Plans, and Health & Safety Checks
Successful care managers will have:-
- A level 5 or equivalent qualification in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People)
- A minimum of 3 years experience working as a Registered Manager with children
- A strong knowledge of care standards including child protection issues and working with EBD children
- A can-do, approachable manner
