Registered Manager - Excellent basic salary up to £55k - Residential Children home in Glossop, Derbyshire

Chase Recruitment are working in partnership on the recruitment of a Registered Manager for a Children home based in Glossop, Derbyshire

Our client is offering an industry leading basic salary up to £55,000 per annum.

Successful applicants must have previous experience as a Registered Manager of a successful OFSTED registered children home with either a good or outstanding rating.

Our client is an outstanding independent provider of high-quality residential care and on-site education for children and young people aged 11 to 17 years. They can present with a wide range of complex and challenging needs resulting from social, emotional and behavioural difficulties in their formative years.

Our client is out in the peaks so has the fortune of working daily in beautiful surroundings and engages the children in outdoor activities regularly.

Duties include:-

  • Overseeing OFSTED visits and audits
  • Establishing and maintaining good quality practice in Residential care and education
  • Ensure the positive development of young people in their care
  • Through the use of the community, supporting the social and learning aspects of young people
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the team
  • Managing staff welfare, staff absence etc
  • Budget management, including home budgeting estimates
  • Managing risk assessments, care plans, and health & safety checks

Successful applicants will have:-

  • Ideally a level 5 or equivalent qualification in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People) or a willingness to complete
  • Must hold at least a level 3 diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years experience working as a Registered Manager with children
  • A strong knowledge of care standards including child protection issues and working with EBD children
  • A can-do, approachable manner
