Registered Manager OR Deputy Manager- Salary up to £45k - Sheffield City Centre - Brand New Residential Children Home

Chase Recruitment are working in partnership on the recruitment of a Registered Manager for a brand new residential children home based in Sheffield City Centre.

If you have significant experience of working with in a residential children service at Deputy Manager or Registered Manager level and are looking for a new challenge with a fantastic and forward-thinking company this may be the perfect opportunity for you!

We are looking for a Registered Manager to open and manage a mixed gender Residential Children Home registered for 3 young people aged between 8 to 17 year old.

You will play an integral role in setting up a new provision and once established duties will include, but are not limited to:-

  • Overseeing OFSTED visits and audits

  • Establishing and maintaining good quality practice in Residential care and education

  • Ensure the positive development of young people in their care

  • Through the use of the community, supporting the social and learning aspects of young people

  • Providing leadership and guidance to the team

  • Managing staff welfare, staff absence etc

  • Budget management, including home budgeting estimates

  • Risk Assessments, Care Plans, and Health & Safety Checks

Successful applicants will have:-

  • A level 5 or equivalent qualification in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People) - ideal

  • Will consider a level 3 qualified with a minimum of 2 years experience as Deputy Manager in a residential children home

  • Experience working as a Registered Manager children home or acting manager

  • A strong knowledge of care standards including child protection issues

  • A can-do, approachable manner

This is a role where you can shape the residential children home as you wish, coming in from the very start and establishing and developing the home in your own way with the help of very supportive directors.
