Registered OFSTED Manager - Excellent basic salary starting from £45k - Preston

Chase Recruitment are working in partnership on the recruitment of a Registered OFSTED Manager for a Children home based in Preston

Successful applicants must have previous experience of managing a successful OFSTED registered children home with either a good or outstanding rating.

You will be the point of call in a brand-new residential home, working with children and young adults, with most requiring support with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Difficulties (LD) in a residential setting and so we are looking for someone with a strong background in the childcare sector. This is a fantastic opportunity where you can make your mark and start fresh - it's an exciting time of growth for our client, and you will play an integral role in it!

Duties for the position of Registered Manager will include:

  • Overseeing OFSTED visits and audits
  • Establishing and maintaining good quality practice in residential care
  • Ensure the positive development of young people in their care
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the team
  • Managing staff welfare, staff absence etc
  • Budget management, including home budgeting estimates
  • Managing Pathways, Risk Assessments, Care Plans, and Health & Safety Checks

To be considered for this Registered Manager role, successful applicants will have:

  • A level 5 or equivalent qualification in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People)
  • Must hold a level 3 diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Registered Manager with children
  • A strong knowledge of care standards including child protection issues and working with EBD children
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
