Deputy Manager, £28,000-£30,000 plus sleeps- Oldham
Chase Recruitment are working with a medium sized, family feel Children's residential care provider. Our client has multiple homes across the Northwest and provide therapeutic care to children with learning disabilities. Our client is looking for a Deputy Manager to join their team in Oldham.
The duties of the Deputy Manager include but are not limited to:
- Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence
- To assist the Registered Manager in ensuring that all recommendations from the OFSTED inspection are implemented
- To assist the Registered Manager as required in the preparation of and submission of a monthly report to the Director of Residential in accordance with company policy
- Lead and motivate your team
- To deliver on-call support on a rota basis
- To ensure that your management team prepares and operates a rota system that will ensure suitable levels of safety, security and care and oversight for the children cared for in your establishment
- To assist the Registered Manager in the coordination of the recruitment processes
- Contributing to the creation and maintenance of effective communication systems within the children's home between the home and outside agencies as per the child's care plans
- To deliver personal care when guided by the young person's care plan
The ideal Deputy Manager will have:
- At least Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent
- Level 4 or Level 5 in Leadership and Management in residential childcare (desired)
- 1 year's management experience (essential)
- 2 years' experience in children's residential setting or residential services (essential)
- Demonstrable knowledge of and commitment to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- The ability to understand and work in partnership in the best interests of children
- An understanding and the ability to work with children who exhibit learning disabilities and/or challenging behaviour
- Full UK Driving License
